
Dr. Seth Blee has worked with professional athletes in many sports, including baseball, football, soccer, hockey, basketball, lacrosse, and mixed martial arts. He served as the Head Team Physical Therapist for the Washington Nationals from 2016-2023, and for the Washington Spirit of the National Women’s Soccer League from 2020-2022. He can be seen in ESPN’s Project 11 as he was the PT for 2020 NFL Comeback Player of the Year, Alex Smith.

Dr. Blee graduated from Boston College's pre-medical program where he was also a Division 1 athlete. He then went on to receive his Master's of Science in Physical Therapy in 1998 from Columbia University. He completed his transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009 from Arizona’s AT Still University. Seth has completed extensive continuing education coursework and training in manual therapy, orthopedics, and sports performance and he has earned his Certification in Functional Manual Therapy from the Institute of Physical Art (IPA).
He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, which he integrates into his treatment of athletes of all ages. He is certified in Sportsmetrics for injury prevention, trigger point dry needling, and Blood Flow Restriction therapy through the Owens Recovery Institute.
Dr. Blee has done lecturing in orthopedics, joint mobilizations, stabilization training, and PNF at several universities throughout the country. He has also taught over 100 advanced continuing education courses to physical therapists with the IPA including PNF, CoreFirst Strategies, the Kinetic Shoulder Complex, as well as a course that he created for treating high level athletes entitled Strategies for Optimizing Performance.

Dr. Emily Palmer Stevens is a native of Northern Virginia, graduating from James Madison University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science with a minor in Coaching Education. She then went on to graduate with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Shenandoah University in 2016.

Emily has been in practice since 2017. She has completed certifications in Dry Needling and in Blood Flow Restriction Therapy. She has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2013. As part of her continuing learning, Emily completed a residency with the Institute of Physical Art (IPA) and went on to earn her Certification in Functional Manual Therapy in 2024. She uses a combination of a hands-on approach with functional training and exercise to help get her patients back to their full potential. Emily strives to care for every patient as she would her own family.

Emily enjoys playing soccer, cycling, golfing, hiking, photography and relaxing with her husband and dog. She is an avid Washington Nationals and Commanders fan and enjoys cheering on all Washington sports teams.

Emily joined Blee Elite Sports Therapy in 2025 and looks forward to continuing to help her patients to get the most out of their physical therapy and out of their bodies.
