Pricing and FAQ's
Do I need a physician referral to start physical therapy?
No. Blee Elite Sports Therapy is a licensed direct access physical therapy provider in Northern Virginia, which means you can begin treatment without a physician referral. If you plan to submit sessions to your insurance for out-of-network physical therapy reimbursement, we recommend checking your specific policy requirements in advance.
What is the cost per session and do you bill insurance?
Blee Elite Sports Therapy (BEST) is a privately owned, cash-based physical therapy clinic in Northern Virginia. We do not directly bill insurance. Instead, we provide a detailed superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
-
One-on-one physical therapy sessions: $200 per visit
-
Package pricing available
-
Dry Needling or Blood Flow Restriction Therapy (30-minute sessions): $75
Payment is required at the time of service. Payments can be made through the patient portal using a credit card or via personal check at your visit. Any reimbursement is paid directly to you by your insurance provider.
Why doesn’t Blee Elite Sports Therapy accept insurance?
By remaining a non-insurance physical therapy clinic, we are able to provide a level of care that traditional insurance-based clinics often cannot. Insurance reimbursement rates typically require clinics to treat multiple patients per hour, limit one-on-one time to 15-30 minutes, and rely heavily on support staff.
At BEST, every session is fully individualized and one-on-one with your physical therapist, allowing us to focus entirely on your movement, recovery, and performance without rushing or splitting attention.
How does this compare to traditional physical therapy clinics?
While the upfront cost may look different, this approach is often more cost-effective in the long run. Many insurance-based physical therapy plans include:
-
Copays of $20-50 per visit
-
High deductibles often ranging from $5,000 to $10,000
-
Short treatment times with limited therapist interaction
Patients frequently end up paying well over $200 per visit for 15-30 minutes of care. At BEST, you receive longer sessions, direct access to your therapist, and a treatment plan designed for faster, more meaningful results.
Are you a Medicare Provider?
We are not a Medicare provider, so Medicare does not reimburse physical therapy services performed at Blee Elite Sports Therapy. However, we are still able to work with Medicare patients under a wellness or maintenance care model, though these services are not eligible for reimbursement.
Do you offer physical therapy for maintenance, wellness, or general health?
Yes! We utilize Functional Manual Therapy (FMT), a holistic, full-body approach designed to reduce pain, restore movement, and improve overall function. FMT is effective not only for injury rehabilitation but also for:
-
Improving movement quality
-
Addressing postural issues
-

-

Programs are fully customized based on your goals, whether that’s daily function or high-level performance.

Mobility and movement efficiency
